What Is the Knowledge Portal?
The Knowledge Portal is a learning and documentation hub inside your Ninety account. It gives your team access to step-by-step training and reference materials related to the Ninety platform and your organization's business operating system. The Knowledge Portal's homepage is a library of collections accessible to your teams.
Learn Mode is available to all users and companies. Edit Mode, used to create and edit content, is available to companies on the Thrive subscription plan and users with Manager or higher permissions.
To access the Knowledge Portal, click Knowledge from the left navigation.
How the Knowledge Portal supports your company
The Knowledge Portal, sometimes referred to as the Knowledge Sharing Tool, furthers our vision of Ninety as your organization's central hub, simplifying the hard work of creating focused, aligned, and thriving teams.
Use our pre-populated content to learn more about your operating system and how Ninety can help your teams implement it. Providing your team members with easy access to this knowledge shows your commitment to professional development.
The 90 Resources collection
The 90 Resources collection holds two categories:
Ninety Learning Hub.
OS Toolbox.
Inside each of these categories are a number of topics and tasks for your team members to learn from. The Ninety Learning Hub has three topics to help you get more out of your Ninety subscription:
Introduction for Leadership — teaches how our tools benefit your organization's leadership team and improve your operating system journey.
Company-Wide Rollout — guides you through adding additional teams to Ninety and how they'll benefit from our tools.
Additional Resources — explores our ever-expanding spread of free resources that help your teams focus, align, and thrive.
How do I use the Knowledge Portal?
The Knowledge Portal has two modes: Learn Mode and Edit Mode. Learn Mode is available to all users and companies, while Edit Mode is only available to companies on the Thrive subscription plan and users with Manager or higher permissions.
Check out our blog for ideas and guidance on knowledge management for teams and organizations.
Learn Mode
Use Learn Mode (the default when you access the Knowledge Portal) to:
Review the collections of content provided by Ninety, your company, or your coach.
Mark items (subtopics and tasks) as complete after reading.
Create items (Rocks, To-Dos, Issues, or Headlines) from content.
In Learn Mode, you can work through a collection of training materials at your own pace. The border of each topic's icon fills in as you mark subtopics complete.
To show completion of knowledge material:
Open a collection. Navigate to the Knowledge Portal, click a category (90 Resources, Company, or Process) to view a list of choices, and then click the desired collection to open it.
Choose a topic, subtopic, or task. Click a topic from the list to begin learning. Some topics are broken down further into subtopics, and those into tasks.
Mark as complete after reading. Mark each subtopic and task complete as you go. The topic will show your progress by filling in the border around the circular icon by the topic's name.
Note: You can pause and return at any time — your progress is saved automatically.
Edit Mode
Users with Manager or higher permissions on companies subscribed to our Thrive plan can use Edit Mode to create new content and edit their previously created material. To access Edit Mode, click Edit on the Learn/Edit toggle on the top right of the page. You can switch between Learn and Edit Mode from any page in the Knowledge Portal.
In Edit Mode, you can create new collections for the Process or Company category, edit existing topics, subtopics, and tasks, and assign content to your team members. You can also click the View Trash button to view any content your organization has removed, where you can permanently delete an item or restore it.
Who can do what in the Knowledge Portal
Access to the Knowledge Portal depends on each user's role and your company's subscription plan:
All users can use Learn Mode to review content, mark items complete, and create Rocks, To-Dos, Issues, or Headlines from content.
Managers and higher on the Thrive plan can use Edit Mode to create and edit collections, topics, subtopics, and tasks, assign owners, and track team learning.
Admins and Owners can view and manage all collections, including private and draft collections.

Showing commitment to professional development
Your team members put in the work to move your company forward. Hiring the right person and onboarding them successfully into their role takes time. Replacing an employee has a steep cost — including losses to productivity and morale. According to Gallup, "Fifty-two percent of voluntarily exiting employees say their manager or organization could have done something to prevent them from leaving their job."
Great companies offer various methods of professional development for their team members to prevent regrettable employee turnover. As we expand the Knowledge Portal, you can add industry-specific professional development collections, onboarding material, company history, best-practice resources, and more.
