Ninety Does Not Record Audio or Video: Remote Meeting Setup Guide
Ninety does not record any audio or video of your meetings. Our Meetings tool focuses on capturing structured meeting data instead of audio or video recordings. This guide explains what Ninety captures and how to record your meetings using external tools.
What Ninety captures (and what it doesn't)
Ninety does capture:
Headlines and Cascading Messages covered.
Issues solved during the meeting.
To-Dos created and assigned.
Notes taken within the platform.
Time spent in each agenda section.
Meeting ratings from participants.
Ninety does not capture:
Audio recordings of conversations.
Video recordings of participants.
Automatic transcription of discussions.
AI-generated meeting notes from speech.
How to record your Ninety meetings
Since Ninety doesn't have built-in recording, use external tools if you want to record audio or video.
For remote meetings:
Set up video conferencing (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and so on).
Share your screen showing Ninety during the video call.
Use the recording feature in your video conferencing tool.
Run your meeting in Ninety while participants follow along via screen share.
For in-person meetings:
Connect one computer to a central TV screen or projector.
Use an external recording app on a phone or computer if desired.
Have one person control Ninety to guide the meeting flow.
Take notes directly in Ninety's built-in notes feature.

Pro tips: Test your screen-sharing setup before important meetings, ensure a stable internet connection, designate a backup presenter, and use Ninety's Claim Presenter feature to transfer control during meetings.
What about AI transcription and note-taking?
Ninety does not currently offer automated meeting transcription, AI-powered note generation from speech, or voice-to-text conversion. Alternatives include:
Use Ninety's built-in manual note-taking feature (click Show Notes during meetings).
Use an external AI transcription tool alongside your video conferencing, then add the transcribed notes to your meeting notes in Ninety.
Assign a dedicated scribe to capture key points in Ninety during the meeting.
Using video conferencing tools with Ninety
We're constantly working on integrating the software tools our customers use, but we don't have direct integration with the popular video conferencing tools below. Use the suggestions to pair them with Ninety:
Zoom: Schedule a meeting in Ninety, create a separate Zoom meeting, share the Ninety screen via Zoom, and record in Zoom if needed.
Microsoft Teams: Use Teams for video and audio, share the Ninety application window, record via the Teams recording feature, and take structured notes in Ninety.
Google Meet: Set up a Meet call separately, present the Ninety window to participants, use Meet's recording (if available), and document outcomes in Ninety.
