How to Fix an Attachment That Won't Upload in Ninety
If a file won't attach to an item in Ninety, it's almost always because the file is too large. Attachments must be 10 MB or smaller, and files above that limit can't be uploaded. This applies to all attachments across Ninety, including Rocks, To-Dos, Issues, Headlines, Meetings, and the Knowledge Portal.
Why your attachment won't upload
The most common reason an attachment fails is file size. Ninety limits attachments to 10 MB or smaller. If your file is larger than 10 MB, the upload won't complete, and you'll need to reduce the file size or add it a different way.
A few other things can prevent an upload:
You don't have edit access. Observers can't add attachments.
In the Knowledge Portal, uploading requires Manager or higher permissions with Edit Mode turned on.

How to add a file larger than 10 MB
If your file is over 10 MB, you have two options:
Add a link instead. Upload the file to a service like Google Drive or Dropbox, then paste the share link into the item's description.
Embed it (Knowledge Portal). In the Knowledge Portal, use one of the embed options to embed the content instead of attaching the file.
You can also try compressing the file (for example, reducing a PDF's size or resizing images) to bring it under 10 MB.
Troubleshooting
Issue: My file won't attach, or the upload fails.
Solution:
Check the file size. If it's larger than 10 MB, it can't be uploaded.
Reduce the file size, or add a Google Drive or Dropbox link in the item's description instead. In the Knowledge Portal, you can also use an embed option.
Confirm you have edit access. Observers can't add attachments, and Knowledge Portal uploads need Manager or higher permissions with Edit Mode on.
