Terms that appear with an asterisk (*) are configurable and may differ from your Ninety. Explore our glossary of terms.

Cascading Messages* are meant to push out important details from Leadership Team Meetings, Human Resources, or news from any team that the whole company would benefit from. When a team creates a Cascading Message*, they can choose which team(s) receive the message. These messages are reviewed during the Headlines* segment of Weekly Team Meetings*.

How to Create a Cascading Message

  • When viewing a Rock*, To-Do*, Issue*, or Headline*

    • Use the More Action button

    • Click Cascade

  • When viewing the Dashboard, or from anywhere in the app

    • Use CREATE on the top-right of the screen

    • Select Cascading Message* from the dropdown list

Clicking the Team pull-down allows you to choose which Teams receive this message. When an item is cascaded, it is immediately sent to the other team. Items cascaded during a meeting are re-capped on the Conclude page of the meeting.

What the Other Team(s) See

Anything cascaded shows up during the team's Weekly Team Meeting* during the Headlines* segment in a section below the team's Headlines* labeled "Cascaded Messages*."

The team can see,

  • Who sent the message

  • Title

  • Description

  • Comment field

How to Archive Cascaded Messages

When a Headline* or Cascaded Message* is checked off during the Weekly Team Meeting*, it is archived to that meeting. Users can review previous meetings from the Meetings* page.
