Access to Zapier
To automatically update a KPI* from a Google Sheet, you need to access the Ninety Beta in Zapier.
First, Create a New Zap and Set Up a Trigger of the "Schedule" Option
This allows the new number to be pulled into Ninety whenever you prefer — most likely before your Weekly Team Meeting*.
Next, Set Up the Action to Lookup the Spreadsheet Row in Google Sheets
This allows you to choose the spreadsheet, the worksheet on that spreadsheet, and the column of the KPI* title.
Finally, set up the Action in Ninety. "Update KPI's Score"
This updates a score for the current week of the selected KPI*.
Select the Company, Team, and KPI* you wish to update. In the value field, choose the column with the value from your Google Sheet.
This is different than the Increase or Decrease a KPI's* score, which incrementally updates a score by a chosen value for the current week. This is best when you have a trigger, like any time my company receives a 5 Star Rating on Trustpilot, a zap is triggered to increment the current week's raving reviews KPI* by 1. This is tallied up over the course of the week.
Formatting Your Google Sheet
Give instructions on how to format the scorecard page.
- Column A = KPI* Name
- Column B = Current Week Value
This model allows teams to create all the complex logic for the metric on one or multiple tabs in the spreadsheet, then write a formula to grab the current week's value on a separate aggregated tab.
