Using the Org Chart

How to build a great Org Chart in Ninety. Add people to seats and insert their roles and responsibilities.

Default Org Chart

The Org Chart comes with five pre-filled Seats — Visionary, Operator, Sales/Marketing, Operations, and Finance. These Seats are completely customizable, so feel free to adapt them to your company's needs.
 

The Org Chart can only be edited by Owners, Admins, Managers, and Coaches.

 

 

Getting Started With the Org Chart

The first step to take with the Org Chart is to organize the Seats. Once the chart is organized, Seats can be edited as needed to add roles or update details.
 

Editing Existing Seats

  1. Click the profile icon to change who is assigned to the Seat.
  2. Click the pencil icon to edit the description of the Seat.

You can have more than one individual in a Seat.

 

Creating a New Seat

  1. Click the plus icon under the card you wish for the new Seat to report to.
  2. Complete the information and click Create Seat.
  3. Assign someone to the new Seat by clicking the profile icon.

Moving an Existing Seat to Rearrange the Chart or Add a New Manager

  1. Click the directional arrow button on the bottom-right of a Seat.
  2. Click which new Seat they should report to.
  3. Click Save to move the Seat.

Searching for a Seat or Team Member

  1. Click the search bar.
  2. Write the name of a Seat or team member and click it.

 

Printing the Org Chart

  1. Click the PDF icon on the top right of the screen.
  2. Choose your Print Type.
    1. Multi-Page
    2. Single-Page
  3. Choose your Seat Type.
    1. Detailed — shows roles, accountabilities, and responsibilities.
    2. Condensed —does not show Roles & Responsibilities
  4. Click Print

 

Multiple Org Charts

This feature allows Owner, Admin, and Manager-level users to create additional draft Org Charts beyond your primary chart.

Creating a Brand New Chart

  1. Click Org Chart from the left navigation.
  2. Click the Drafts tab.
  3. Click Create New near the top right of the screen.
  4. Create a title.
  5. (Optional) Describe how this chart differs from the Primary Chart.
  6. (Optional) Share the draft with other users.
  7. Click Create on the bottom left of the Create New Chart pop-up.

Making a Copy of Your Primary Org Chart

  1. Click Org Chart.
  2. Click the ellipses on the far right of the screen.
  3. Click Duplicate as draft.

Editing Your Chart Drafts

  1. Click Org Chart.
  2. Click the Drafts tab.
  3. Click on the chart you wish to edit.
  4. Edit as normal.
