Exporting Your Data

Learn how to export portions of your Ninety Account to a PDF or .xlsx spreadsheet file.

Several of our tools include options to export your data as a PDF or an XLSX spreadsheet.

Exporting to PDF

You can download a PDF from any of the following tools using the PDF button on the far right of the filters bar.

  • Data
  • Headlines
  • Issues
  • Process
  • Rocks 
  • To-Dos
  • Vision
     

Printing a Meeting Agenda

  1. Click Meetings from the left navigation.
  2. Choose a team from the Team dropdown on the filters bar.
  3. Click the meeting-type tab you wish to print.
  4. Click the Print Agenda button to generate a PDF.

 

Printing a Quarterly Export

Users can export and print their company's Vision as a PDF to prepare for a meeting or maintain paper records.

  1. Click Vision from the left navigation.
  2. Choose a team from the Team dropdown.
  3. To generate a PDF, Click the Download Quarterly Export button (bar graph icon) on the far right of the filter bar.

 

Using the Export Button

Click the Download button on the far right of the Filters bar to export your information into an XLSX file.

You can export information from the following tools:

  • Rocks (including Milestones)
  • To-Dos
  • Issues
  • Headlines/Cascading Messages

 

Rocks

Exporting Rocks

  1. Click Rocks from the left navigation.
  2. Choose a team from the Team dropdown.
  3. Click the Download button on the far right of the Filters bar.

To download archived Rocks instead, click the Archive toggle after choosing a team.

The spreadsheet separates Rocks and Milestones into two different tabs.

The Rocks tab includes the following columns:

  • Owner
  • (Rock) Title
  • Description
  • Due Date
  • Status
  • Level (Team or Company/Departmental)
  • Team
  • Attachment Names
  • Completed On (Date)
  • Link (to the item in Ninety)
  • Created Date
  • Archived Date

The Milestones tab includes the following columns:

  • Owner
  • (Milestone) Title
  • Description
  • Rock’s Name
  • Due Date
  • Completed On (Date)
  • Link (to the item in Ninety)
 
 

To-Dos

Exporting To-Dos

  1. Click To-Dos from the left navigation.
  2. Choose a team from the Team dropdown.
  3. Click the Download button on the far right of the Filters bar.

To download archived To-Dos instead, click the Archive toggle after choosing a team.

To download Private To-Dos instead, click the Private tab instead of choosing a team.

The spreadsheet includes the following columns:

  • Owner
  • (To-Do) Title
  • Description
  • Due Date
  • Repeat
  • Team
  • Attachment Names
  • Completed On (date)
  • Link (to the item in Ninety)
  • Created Date
  • Archived Date
 
 

Issues

Exporting Issues

The export feature downloads the selected team's short- and long-term Issues. 

  1. Click Issues from the left navigation.
  2. Choose a team from the Team dropdown.
  3. Click the Download button on the far right of the Filters bar.

To download archived Issues instead, click the Archive toggle after choosing a team.

The spreadsheet separates short and long-term Issues into two different tabs.

The Short-Term tab includes the following columns:

  • Owner
  • (Issue) Title
  • Description
  • Type
  • Priority (number)
  • Team
  • Who
  • Attachment Names
  • Completed On (date)
  • Link (to the item in Ninety)
  • Created Date
  • Archived Date

The Long-Term tab includes the following columns:

  • Owner
  • (Issue) Title
  • Description
  • Type
  • Priority (number)
  • Team

Headlines

Exporting Headlines and Cascading Messages

  1. Click Headlines from the left navigation.
  2. Choose a team from the Team dropdown.
  3. Click the Download button on the far right of the Filters bar.

 

To download archived Headlines and Cascading Messages instead, click the Archive toggle after choosing a team.

The spreadsheet separates Headlines and Cascading Messages into two different tabs.

The Headlines tab includes the following columns:

  • Type (Headlines or Cascading Messages)
  • From
  • Owner
  • (Headline) Title
  • Description
  • Team
  • Attachment Names
  • Completed On (date)
  • Link (to the item in Ninety)
  • Created Date
  • Archived Date

The Cascading Messages tab includes the following columns:

  • Type (Headlines or Cascading Messages)
  • From (team)

Changing the File Type

The downloaded file defaults to a .xlsx file, which Microsoft Excel uses. 

To open the file with Google Sheets:

  1. Go to your Google Drive (https://drive.google.com/).
  2. Click the New button on the top left of the screen.
  3. Click File Upload from the popup menu.
  4. Open the downloaded file from Ninety.
  5. Click to open the file from the Upload popup.

To change the file type to .csv:

  1. Open your downloads folder.
  2. Right-click the file.
  3. Click rename (this may be as a button at the top of the popup or as a listed option).
  4. Type “.csv” at the end of the file’s name.

Or:

  1. Open the downloaded file in Microsoft Excel.
  2. Click File and then Save as.
  3. Choose the CSV format from the dropdown.
  4. Click Save.
