You can still recover the data if you accidentally delete a group or remove a KPI in Ninety. Follow the steps below to restore deleted or archived groups and their KPIs.

This article covers what to do if you accidentally delete a group on your team's Scorecard or remove a KPI from a group. If you've accidentally permanently deleted a KPI from your My 90 page or the KPI Manager, contact our support team.

How to Delete a Scorecard Group

When you delete a Scorecard group, you're removing the KPIs within the group from your team's Scorecard. However, those KPIs still exist in your Ninety account.

To delete a group from your team's Scorecard:

  1. Navigate to your team's Scorecard. Click Data from the left navigation. Then, ensure the desired team is selected in the Team dropdown.
  2. Delete the intended group. Click the ellipsis on the top right of the intended group's card. Then, click Delete group from the dropdown.

Recovering a Deleted Group

To recover a deleted group, you'll need to reconstruct it by creating a new group and adding the KPIs. Here's how:

  1. Recreate the deleted group. Click New Group on the right side of the filter bar. Name the group and provide a description.
  2. Add the desired KPIs to the group. Click New KPI at the top right of the group's card. Select Add existing KPI from the options shown. Search for the KPIs you'd like to add to the group; click the checkbox of as many KPIs as desired. Then, click the Add button.

Even if a KPI is removed from a Scorecard, all its historical data is preserved in Ninety. The KPI's owner will always be able to view it in their My 90 workspace and Owners and Admins on your account can view them in the KPI Manager.

Troubleshooting

If you're unable to find the KPI or if something doesn't look right:

  • Double-check that you're searching with the correct name.
  • Ensure the KPI wasn't renamed by another team member.
  • Contact Ninety Support for help recovering overwritten or hard-to-find data.

Tips and Best Practices

  • KPIs must be added to groups. If you're recreating a deleted group, you must recreate the group before adding existing KPIs back.
  • Archived vs Deleted. The steps above work whether the group was archived or deleted.
  • Data remains intact. Measurable data is never lost — even when a group is removed.
